about

A Daytona Beach music scene staple for years comes the Iconic Train wreck known as EDDIEBROCK AKA EDDIEBROCK2000 AKA XEDDIEBROCKX hailing from the long gone MYSPACE DIGICORE era (or cybergrind to some) with some parts poor recording, some parts just silly and ignorant. please excuse the terrible mixing I had no idea what i was doing back then. Hugely inspired by Atom & his Package and The Emotron

Formed in 2005 in my bedroom: I had a dream of a Powerviolence band but it turned into a "Noisecore" sorta thing as a two piece with me on vocals, synth & electronics and a former friend Jeremy on drums. After this release & Jeremy's departure it would become the more well known "cybergrind" or "digicore" MySpace style of music that got popular around this time frame. For the first chunk of time I gained Keith with programing the music but after a few releases he quietly left and I gained Sean & Kyle who are the ones responsible for my main "hit songs" (also for a very brief time Tarik was considered a main member but left after 2 songs). Besides the core members I had A lot of friends who would also become part-time members and contribute on some songs. For live shows I mostly played completely alone with an I-Pod or MP3 Player running through PA's or Amps. Later down the line I would let my friends Jesse, Erik And Dylan Join me live as back-up members doing additional vocal duties. While active I was on Juice Of Mango, Evil Dead Records, Walking Madness Records, Love Torture Records, Boyz Noise Records, & Fake Records.

The main reason of Eddie Brock was to just be a straight up asshole. I was getting myself on shows I had no business being on. I would lie to promoters by saying I was a full band but showed up alone, or I was always playing my final show or having a reunion. Spitting on people, starting problems, breaking stuff, getting unplugged and yelled at I did it all. I wanted stop at first in 2009 as i grew tired of the joke but I stayed active until 2010 where I officially said I was done. Unfortunately my friends cant let a dead joke go and was convinced to have a bunch of one off appearances til 2015 when I Said NO MORE & stopped doing full sets & just did one song pop ups to stir the pot here and there (even did a one song surprise during another of my projects during 2022). EB was a great time with some good memroiees, I wanted a band and couldnt get a stable one so it was great to still have a way to play shows but I just grew really tired of the project feeling it has run its course. It has a big place in mine and a lot the Daytona Beach Hardcore scene regulars hearts and you know they say never say never. In 2014 I would start a noise project under the name CRUSTGIRLS which the first demo used left over bits of Eddie Brock Material mixed with field recordings and harsh noise so in a spiritual sense I'm still doing this shit as of this writing.
